Eurofighter consortium has begun deliveries of fighter jets second tranche

The consortium Eurofighter handed Royal Air Force fighter first EF-2000 Typhoon second tranche. As reported in the press release, the producer, supply of new combat aircraft modification other customers will begin shortly.

The second tranche of Eurofighter will build 323 fighter aircraft, including 91 for Britain, 79 for Germany, 47 for Italy, 34 for Spain, and 72 for Saudi Arabia. In the third tranche of Eurofighter plans to gather 236 "Typhoon". The signing of the contract is tentatively scheduled for the first quarter of 2009.

In order to reduce the burden on the defense budgets of customers consortium last week proposed to divide the purchase of EF-2000 Typhoon third tranche in two phases. In addition, participants have the opportunity to re-export of fighters.
