South Korea will create electromagnetic bombs

The Agency for Defense Development (ADD) South Korean military authorities working to create electromagnetic bombs intended to destroy information systems of potential adversaries. As reported by The Korea Times, the development of ammunition is scheduled for completion until 2015.

The bombs that can generate electromagnetic pulses and high power microwave radiation, will allow incapacitate not only of management and communication, but also electronic components of all kinds of weapons and military equipment.

The principle of such bombs is based on creating a radius of several hundred meters from the explosion of electromagnetic fields, causing electrical conductors in the short race tension in thousands of volts. During this effect is achieved even if the equipment was when the condition.

At the same time, South Korea is preparing to repel a possible electromagnetic attack by the DPRK, though no reliable information on the Pyongyang such developments. For information about programs, the defensive nature of the South Korean side did not disclose.
